Cosy and festooned with hops, brews its own beer and has some hard to find bottles at not-ridiculous prices. Locally microdistilled spirits. Laid-back, friendly staff. Wine & food looks great.

In a posh hotel but without the posh prices. My wife and I had breakfast here twice. The hash with the duck egg and the bacon sandwich were standouts .

This is such a great pub. Great atmosphere on a rugby day and the food is much better than the St. Margarets. There is always something going on and the clientele are friendly and attracts all ages

This pub is named after the Maria Wood, an ornate steamboat used by the Lord Mayor for official occasions, built in 1816 and moored nearby. This pub also starred in the Beatles film Help!
Great refurb incredibly poor service which really let's the place down. The barman got my order wrong and have me the foulest look when questioned & another five minutes before serving my partner.
Nice coffee, fancy French pastries, great setting. The pews upstairs are a nice touch for the location next to St. Paul's. Good morning breakfast deal. Coffee and pastry for £4.50.

The Sunday roast was gorgeous as was the Scotch Egg. Make sure you get a bottle of the Malbec house red to go with your meal. Dog friendly too.
