Akari rolls, chicken nanban, tempura moriawase are great, satisfying dishes. All 3 fish carpaccio on the specials are to die for. For sthg a bit more adventurous, try mackerel sushi and Takosu.
The sashimi is delicious! (and of course, goes well with the plum wine and sake. mmm)Always a good sign when a Japanese restaurant is full of Japanese people!
Unexpectedly happened upon a decent Japanese restaurant in SE London. Sashimi was fresh and everything was tasty. Winning.

Bizarre service. Waitress barely spoke English. Had no idea what vodka (out of two options it turned out) the restaurant served. Cocktails are poor generally. Food, okay for the price.

Excellent place. Had a lovely vegetable risotto and wine. Took my little one and they accommodated us all very well. Great service, views and ambience.

There is no comment on foursquare that can possibly express just how amazing this place is... It actually is heaven on earth. Recommendation : crunchy rolls. Hashi rolls. Worth every penny.

Beautiful decoration and great location. Very fancy, perfect for romantic dates or to spoil yourself a little bit. Try their breakfasts! (Tip: egg benedict are incredible)
If you plan to go for just drinks, avoid, the lady at the front desk informed me that they "have a restaurant license" which means you would have to "order" a "substantial" amount of food

Fantastic okonomiyaki. Sweet corn and the squid one are both very recommendable! Quite easy to have dinner or lunch paying less than 10£!

Fantastic Japanese food cooked on a giant skillet by the talented and friendly chef. It's known for excellent okonomiyaki but try the yaki soba which is superb. Wash it down with excellent umi sake.
Tasty Niku Udon and gyoza as well. The whole place is pleasant and authentic with kind staff. Love the pretty ceramics and tea ware. I'll visit the place again for sure!

We had a delicious lunch at The Rose. Staff is lovely and cheerful. We enjoyed our burgers. Place is not like a traditional pub, it is a good mixture of pub and medeterrian bistro.

Nice venue, friendly service, food below par. Angus top rump was lukewarm and without Yorkshire puddings. No apology for the puds. How do you run out of flour, eggs and water?

This place is underrated. Try the chef’s specials. My favorite was the spicy salmon tartar, sea urchin sashimi, crab on avocado and black cod fish.

Gyu tataki, great dish of cold thinly sliced high quality filet in a light ponzu-garlic sauce. Guaranteed yummyness.
Try Szechuan Set Menu - it's simply awesome! Caution: lots of food - 2 sets will be for sure enough for 3 adults ;)

Huge pub with huge beer garden & really great food, and they do a great quality & value proper Sunday roast selection with all the trimmings.
