Still loving the Savoy. There is no room I find more peaceful + relaxing than a Thames River view room. Spacious and comfortable w/a large window looking out at the park + river. A home away from home

Gets very busy, but a lovely spacious pub right on the river. Lovely tables on a balcony with river views, or you can sit outside on a nice day. Food is quite good.
Great outdoor seating area by the river and overlooking the river. Try their ham hock sharer board - it's huge!

Get a high floor room with end numbers between 06 and 12 and you have river view.
Breakfast is excellent. Best Bircher meusli I've had anywhere. Freshly squeezed orange juice and then there's the a la carte cooked options which look great

Arrive early on a Sunday to avoid dissapointment if you wish to sample the Sunday Roast menu as it get's very busy! Worth it though, great food, great service and resonably priced!
This pub is named after the Maria Wood, an ornate steamboat used by the Lord Mayor for official occasions, built in 1816 and moored nearby. This pub also starred in the Beatles film Help!
