Jean 💜: Right above the awesome rows of obviously non-American potato chips are the equally enticing rows of non-American chocolate candy bars. 70% Cacao KitKat bar? Gimme a break, stat.
amNewYork: This Sunnyside grocer has been appealing to Irish tastes for 15 years. Expats stock up on Irish and English products, such as Cadbury chocolates, Jacob’s biscuits and Barry’s teas and brisk.
Serious Eats: Irish specialty store with imported cookies, jams, and other tinned goods alongside a hefty butcher counter of black pudding, boiling bacon, and more.
Roxana Georgescu: Great fresh pastries with mushrooms or meat or cheese; even better the "hedgehog cake" (small version: ask for a chocolate potato), les Savarines, Diplomat, Kataif...too many to count!!!
Mrs L: Get the chocolate rum cake!
Jacqueline Migone: Good chocolates cakes!!!

Serious Eats: Take a bite (or two) out of the chocolate cake from Court Square Diner in Queens. Usually 'Made on Premises' at diners scares me off—This cake though is moist, not too sweet, and plenty chocolatey. Read more.
Patrick Thompson: Great breakfast spot right beside the subway entrance. Great, quick service, big portions and fun environment.
Serious Eats: Huge diner near PS1 with decent cheap burgers and a friendly vibe.

JenKudu: Creative and innovative menu. Best cooked duck (duck leg with honey and mustard seed) I've ever eaten. Smoked chocolate soufflé was too smokey, but interesting idea. Nice, chill service too.
Denise Cheung: Cool classroom setting and food is amazing here! Love the simple tomato egg pot and the honeyed beets.
Serious Eats: The new incarnation of the gonzo M. Wells, now a inside MoMA's PS1. French-Canadian and American diner classics meet foie gras with enormous, gratifying portions. Lunch only.
