Built it 1934 as a support vessel for "Mutiny on the Bounty". It became a restaurant in 1974 & was cemented in place. Moved to its present location in 1988. L.A.'s only floating restaurant.
I like to come here on rainy days, and order a New England clam chowder in a bread bowl to go. They have tasty lunch specials and are plentiful with the free bread! Otherwise very expensive fare.

Love this restaurant, even though I don't eat meat. The creamed corn and grilled salmon are delicious!
Smaller appetites, try the English cut. For more, try the Lawry's Cut or the Diamond Jim Brady Cut. Skip the Asparagus. Go with Creamed Spinach & Corn. Finish with Warm Chocolate Fantasy Cake.

Ask for Jan the bartender from Canada...or janada. And Jan the waitress. The jans...super sweet. Awesome local beach bar!!
