Pretty much everything we ordered was sublime. Especially loved the eggplant with miso, chicken katsu sando and lamb ribs.
Don’t drive here! Otherwise you’d regret that you can’t taste a great variety of sake. The bar food is also awesome, especially the chicken katsu sando, okonomiyaki and kare udon.

Daichan is a true Los Angeles treasure. Their food is tasty, beautiful and filling. It's not your average sushi place, rather it's home style Japanese food. The décor is fun and service is excellent.
The okonomi plate was great. Filling and at a good price. Chose the chicken katsu, veggie gyoza and spinach. Spinach was surprisingly good, and katsu was delicious.
Their Katsu curry is flavorful and served on top of white rice. Ive had the chicken katsu curry and the crunch gave the whole plate that extra kick!
Tried the House special(chicken). It tastes so good that I finished all the rice! It is served with an ice cream ball and only $12!
I always get the chicken katsu.. comes w. two large pieces so it's a good portion to share.

Excellent sushi. We really enjoyed the sashimi platter, black pepper seared tuna, and the rolls. Make sure you call ahead if you're a big party (more than 4 people) so they can accommodate you.
Sunday happy hour is the best in town! Get a seriously happy set, mussels and the LOL roll and you will not be disappointed. I LOVE this place :-)

GET THE PHOENIX MOON. Salmon sashimi is super buttery. Spicy shio yuzu ramen's pretty good too.

Start with the seafood salad and walk over to the zesty tuna roll and finish with the unagi nigiri. So good.
