Go early in the morning, like before 11 AM, when the animals are all awake. This zoo is free and is way better than any of the zoos I've paid admission for. Lots of different animals!

The heart of downtown Madison. Lots to see and do, great food, and nice shops. Great for street photography. Tip the street performers, but be wary of the occasional bum/homeless person.
