Upscale in an UES kind of way (lots of wood and older people in bowties), but with surprisingly good food. Crab cakes and warm kale and mushroom salad were excellent. Skip the pigs in a blanket.

The place investment bankers in New York go when they fancy a Japanese; fusion chef Nobu Matsuhisa's miso-marinated black cod, rock shrimp with spicy mayonnaise have stood the test of time.

This is an average steak house, just served in an upscale setting and ambiance. Steaks are average tasting. Service is good and friendly.
Upscale hotel bars are some of my favorite places to go for drinks-St. Regis is no exception. BE SURE to ask the bartender for the secret behind the mural at the bar -you'll never look at it the same!

At $25-30/cocktail and $36 for 3 small beef sliders, this is a very pricey bar. Drinks are very good and the atmosphere is cool and classy, so save for the big occasion or when you want to impress!
After dinner, have a cocktail at my favorite place in Manhattan (its both opulent and modern). Highly recommend the risotto, truffle sliders, and afternoon tea. In the summer, sit on the balcony.

Sit upstairs, more character and less stuffy. I'm not a fancy guy but if you feel like indulging this is the place to do it. So tip your nose up, get some champagne and pretend like your an oligarch.
