Built in 1882-83, the bridge is recognized as a National Civil Engineering Landmark. In 1994 the bridge was converted into a pedestrian and bike trail & offers a panoramic view of St. Anthony Falls.
The Hewing lobby bar provides some of the best people watching in Minneapolis. The drinks are nice, the environs are nice and you'll enjoy a little extra spring in your step after each visit.

This is a great lake to exercise, walk, run, or people watch, walk or run with your dog. Just be warned, bikers think they're the only ones here so despite the laws, they will run you over gladly.
