The corn empanadas are the best..but also try the mushroom, spinach, and red pepper
Lunch under $10. I really enjoy these empanadas- try the spinach or the mushroom. The sauces are super yummy. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m never disappointed. Simple and delightful.

Chipotle pupusas are the best. Also delicious: loroco, pork, beans. May be the best pupusas in the Mission.
I highly recommend "pupusas con loroco y queso" (pupusas with loroco flower and cheese). Don't be afraid; loroco "flower" is just a kind of green veggie--they pick the blossoms before they bloom.
The Salvadorean papusas at the bare bones 16th Street location are the best in the Mission. A papusa is a thick corn tortilla stuffed with pork, cheese or beans, sounds great to us.
New ownership and amazing staff!!! Good is delicious, drinks are cheap an there is a dart table and TVs for games. Genuine people and free wi-fi! New favorite cafe
They have Gluten Free options and many of them!!! Bread, bagels, hot dog buns and even macaroni salad are all available gluten free. They also have wonderful salads. Spread the word!
Brothers Will & Ben are awesome. Tons of gluten free options including sweets, lots of power outlets, beer and TVs, dart board, piano & guitars for impromptu jam sessions, awesome art up too! Love it!

Favorite rotisserie chicken ever. Also love the chicharron de pollo. Great value and atmosphere, just make sure to get reservations since they're usually packed.

Absolutely love this place! Homemade pastas - best Italian I have had in the mission by far, definitely the best gnocchi dish in San Francisco. Save room for dessert and get the tiramisu!
Great little dinner spot. Just romantic enough to be kosher for dinner with friends, but enough ambiance in case you're feeling more amorous.

My favorite arepa is the Pabellon - shredded beef, sweet plantains, black beans with queso fresco....It's Delicious!!!!
