The wood grill is the key. Start with grilled oysters or baby octopus and head towards some fish and veggies. Tasty are the lamb chops which aren't on the menu. If zuppa then ciopino > boulliabase.

Great breakfast spot in Monterey. We had: corned beef hash - great flavor, nice and crispy, just how he likes it, and the breakfast burrito - lots of beans, very good and filling.
