The Italian Special is THE best Italian sub in NYC. I like to modify it by getting sharp provolone instead of the mozzarella, and adding the hot pepper spread.
Try the rice balls. They are good & worth a dollar

Great pick-up and go spot for lunch. Sgt Sweet Pepper on a hero was great and not too expensive ($9). Crispy chicken and great sandwich balance.
The guy who takes orders here is incredible. Deserves a raise or even a reality show for his ability to remember every order.
