Mussels + fries is a definite. Then ask the waiter to pick another and pair your wine. Very good and uncommon wines mostly italian and spanish.
Go during Oakland Restaurant Week- special menu is super. And the waiters know their wine.
Ask the bartender for a rec. He'll find the perfect wine to suit your tastes. Food-wise I recommend the paella!
