I came for the oysters (which were so fresh and delish) but was pleasantly surprised by the amazing entrees and service! The New England chowder is the bomb.

Fantastic staff and atmosphere - kitchen takes late orders (past 10pm). Love the wide variety of American food choices available, and cheesecakes are divine.
We Love this place! Been a few times now and everything was simply delicious. The Fajitas in particular were Wow! WARNING: At La Barquita you come for the food NOT the atmosphere or the service.

Don't come for the atmosphere or the service because you won't get much. The food however (thump thump, thump thump) will make your heart skip a beat. Yeah its that good! Get the Molcajete. Special!
This menu can be a bit overwhelming, so my husband and I have started trying their small bites and tasting different things on the menu instead of large meals. The Kale salad is great! Best in town!

A little disappointing. Bistro food is pretty poor- microwaved white bean dip for example. Wine selection is ok. It's not expensive but pretty average overall.
