First place I found in this neighborhood that isn't deliberately (?) downbeat. Charming atmosphere reminiscent of the best of country life, delicious food at 1/3rd less than Manhattan plate-fees.
Love the first one & this one is even sexier. The windows are huge for a perfect view of the water looking at NYC. The menu is simple but good. Prices are fair have a different happy hour each day.
I love this place! Waiters are friendly! Try the stuffed plantains, I had it with picadillo (ground beef). Yuca fries w/ garlic were interesting, and if you go for brunch, try the Cuban French Toast.
If you're there with a friend or on a date, I recommend splitting a panini and getting a mix of crostini. Any crostini with truffle butter is a win. And try the chicken with pesto panini. Solid food.
Enjoy tasty, low-cost paninis & tapas in a quaint atmosphere here. Eat mozzarella & olive spread crostini ($4.50) & a chorizo panini ($8.50). Read more.
