The spicy ramen is delicious, any of the special rolls and do get the mochi!
I know everyone's talking about the Candlestick roll but you gotta get the Shizen Shiitake from the hot section and the Boddy and Soul roll from the speciality rolls. Do it

Over-rated. They seem to focus on specialty rolls and overlook the basics. The ingredients are fresh, but the quality of the fish wasn't what I expected. My rolls fell apart!

Everything is top notch quality. The starters are fantastic as well as the special rolls. LOVED Japanese grilled Cod! Also the tuna+crisps, tuna+seaweed "tacos", salmon+crab special roll.

Incredible. Salmon roe is really good as is the salmon poke. The sushi is some of the best in SF. I like the caterpillar roll. Seaweed salad is the best in the city. Super friendly service to boot.

Amazing sushi and great value. Get the $75/person prix fixe menu. The 1849 oyster, toro truffle caviar, hamachi pear, and green tea creme brûlée are the best.

Very popular spot so either make reservations or come early and sit at the bar. Hamachi truffle is delicious and the uni + quail egg is a must for uni fans.
Start with the Waldo Carpaccio (go off menu and ask, it's worth it) & Hamachi Truffle, and follow those up with the Himalayan Trout, Flaming Sea Bass, and Boombox (sans banana...thank me later).

Basic sushi. Nothing fancy or too expensive. Get the spicy scallop is tasty.
Not as much fish selection as the fancier sushi restaurants, but the price and quality are right.
This lovely neighborhood spot has been around for years. Highly recommend the sukiyaki. Aki, the owner and one of the sushi chefs, makes delicious sushi!
The nigiri combo is great but a lot for one person. All of the fish is very high quality, it melts in your mouth the way you want sushi to. Overall great place!
Sushi is pretty good and affordable. Service was good too. Dinner bentos came with miso, salad, and rice. I'd come here again.
Sushi is fantastic and great service at this neighbor hood gem. Try the shrimp dumplings too. There is a nice happy hour Tuesday to Thursday until 7 pm.
