the drawing room is one of my favorite quiet spaces in the neighborhood. it's great for a catchup over tea or drinks. if it's nice out, you can also pop into the inner courtyard.

My visit to La Cabra Cafe was an unexpected delight that left me craving more. Tucked away on a charming corner street, this café exudes cozy charm and boasts some of the best coffee I've ever tasted.
This is a great place to read. It's not too busy and the back patio is very quiet. Recommend the lattes over the cappuccinos

Absolutely wonderful meal. Opt for either omakase meal. Highlight of my meal was Maine and Santa Barbara uni atop a sesame tofu cube. Also, the space is minimal and calming, with great service.
Refined, creative Japanese in a zen setting. 1 of my top NYC picks: homemade shiso plum sake+ amazing combo of fresh crustaceans: Uni, lobster, abalone, scallop! Divine esp for uni & raw fish lovers!

Very cool new hotel on Hudson street just north of canal. Their rooftop bar is phenomenal although weather dependent.

Geared to the eco-sensitive and organically aware, the spa offers all-you-can-use cool cucumber water, lush treatment products, an infrared sauna room and a dreamy eucalyptus steam.
I won't be going back to my cheap neighborhood spa. This place has changed me. Facial with Amity was great. (PS- don't pass on the dried fruit- yum- and sip on the cucumber water.)
A must to round out your knowledge of Donald Judd, of SoHo of years past. An incredibly beautiful, peaceful space. Do be sure to schedule your tour late afternoon; sunset makes the floors richer.
Judd not only created art—he lived it. Book in advance, this intimate tour and insight into a great artist's mind is well worth the wait.
