Hectic place. The service is a little slow & unapologetic. Spaghetti with king prawns was very good but the veal with mushroom cream sauce was dry.

Gigantic serves and great beer. Try the Chicken Jäger (schnitzel with mushroom sauce). Incredible.
They do take-away. Nothing like the comfort of your own home for polishing off a schnitzel the size of your head. It's always really fast too, even when they're busy.

Pastizzis are great for breakfast, but the pasta is the best in Newtown. Boscaiola is top shelf, and pesto prawns for a starter A+

Best coffee in Sydney in my honest opinion. Veal sandwich is my favourite accompaniment.
Thumbsup for the pork and watercress sandwich with morsels of pork with crackling accompanied by slices of apple and a yummy sauce :)
The roast beef sandwich with caper-onion mayonnaise is fantastic - a perfectly textured bread with rich mayo and succulent chunks of rare roast beef: sane men have been known to go mad.
Get the mixed platter you wont be disappointed. The platter is roasted duck, pork belly and veal schnizel on potato and cabbage. YUM
What a find. that is one great restaurant/ Bar. Love the quality of beers and the specials on weekdays. Monday 1 meter sausage just 15.99$ Great fun
The pork knuckle is excellent. It's huge, so you may want to share it.
