Excellent Szechuan food with a homemade feel and most importantly - taste. I highly recommend this if you're looking for comfort food of the oriental variety. Acceptable pricing, but not ideal.
A menu for 4: dry ginger beef, tangerine peel chicken, str fired long beans, and tofu & eggplant hotpot. WOW! Prepare for garlic aftermath!

Really sad when a place reputable for good food has such horrible management. I'm talking about the 'assistant manager' who was defensive and extremely rude; telling us off. Stay away! Classless.
Besides their delicious steamed buns... remember the restaurant in the back is pretty good too. Chinese "Comfort Food" at resonable prices. No decor ~ just good food.
Everyone raves about the buns and baked goods, but do yourself a favour and get congee from the restaurant. Solid, unpretentious comfort food. Taro turnover is also surprisingly delightful.

Appy hour is pretty overrated, you can get a much-improved version of the same item on the regular appetisers menu for a dollar or two more.
