Kool Aid is a must. Memphis Style ribs were the stand out item on the menu! For sides - Mac and Cheese, Okra, Collard Greens, Pork and Beans - All Good! One of my favorite places in LA!
Pork, pork and more pork! Order ribs and pulled pork and pour vinegar liberally all over the meat. Dip in the hot BBQ sauce--it's the best one. Great mac & cheese. I want some now!
Go early if possible to avoid the dinner rush. Get the pulled pork, with some vinegar and hot sauce. I loved the Mac N Cheese but you really can't go wrong with any set of sides.
Mac & cheese; all the briskets are delicious & savory! . The traditionall brisket sandwhich is layered with mac & cheese. Ask to sample anything! Cucumber mint lemonade.... Mmmmmm!

The choices for the salads and food is outta this world! Truffle Mac and cheese is a must! Really everything is good...except the lemonade. Too sugary and sweet otherwise 10/10
For happy hour I highly recommend the tuna tartare and mac n cheese (with fontina and white truffle oil)

Fish tacos are great. The guacamole is fantastic but the Fried calamari are just AMAZING. (Portions are VERY generous: Starter and sides are as big as a main)

Sunday supper was delicious, so was the port wine and the tuna/avocado appetisers. Really friendly staff :-)

Oscar's taken over the Benny's Taco on the corner and turned it into your new favorite taco/bbq sports bar. With patio. A block from my house. Oh oh.
Chicken, carne asada and veggie tacos were all delicious -- and filling! IPA was crisp and refreshing in chilled mugs. Chef Niko was charming and clearly passionate about his food.
The pulled pork lunch is great - don't hesitate to splurge on Mac n cheese and some potato salad too. This place is TINY - don't come with a large group expecting seats.
Great ribs, cobblers, pies, and retro sodas (made with real sugar) that complete a fantastic meal. Pick up is advised since the place is very small.
It's not a Matrix themed restaurant despite the name.

Oddly enough, the best omelets around here. Great egg white omelets as well. Get it with marinara sauce.
