The beach to the north of the fishing pier is for surfers and body boarder only (no swimmers). The beach to the south of the pier is for swimming and body boarding, but not surfing.

Great place to visit the beach. Although parking is $5, it is plentiful, there is a large, covered picnic area, a small playground, restrooms, and showers to clean the sand off before heading home.
i enjoyed this place a lot! very charming gift shop and candy store. if you like fairies, The Pier Gift shop has a bunch of them. Lovely tote bags and flip flops.

An awesome place to take the family during the summer. There is always something to do at night: concerts, fairs, museums, etc. During the day, go to the tributes for veterans and fishing on the pier.
Lots to see, beach is awesome, plenty of food and drink. Visit the pier and go crabbing! We were pulling them in and in 30 minutes had caught around 10 or more.
Almost three miles long....great for walking and biking....some nice eating spots for lunch or dinner
Two public parking lots- if the first one is full- streets have public parking and there's another lot 6minutes down Sandpiper Rd at Little Island Park/ Pier

It's busiest near the pier come b4 noon or head north to avoid being crowded

Their she crab soup is amazing. Everything I've eaten there is fresh and delicious.
I grew up eating at this place! Now I make sure to hit it every time I fly in from Los Angeles. Great food, drinks, and the free home made chips at the bar demand that you stay and drink more!

I went there for Brunch on Sunday, August 7th. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, attentive, EXCELLENT!! I had the Frogman Burrito with Loaded Homefries.

Awesome steamed oysters! Get a table overlooking the pier.
Had the restaurant week special. Oysters on the half shell FRESH, rockfish delicious, coconut cake is one of a kind and you have to get the Lobstertini just to say you did!
Crab dip and pier fries can't be beat. For a more eccentric delicacy, order an oyster shoorter.
Service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait. Malibu Coconut Flounder is phenomenal with the mango chutney!!!
