The boardwalk is very wide and beautifully maintained, so is a great place for walking along the ocean. The bicycle path is separated from the pedestrian areas which is really nice.
Start at the playground and walk the 2.5 miles up and enjoy the ocean and Air Force jets overhead!

Our waitress was so sweet and fun to talk with. The sweet tea is delicious and my chicken and waffles with maple syrup and caramel was cooked perfectly. I’m drooling just thinking of it.

Park at church at 16th & Pacific ($5-$10) for 17th St beach. You have bathrooms on both sides of DQ. Amusement park has more bathrooms & cheap food! Tenders all day, grilled burgers and dogs after 6!

The beach to the north of the fishing pier is for surfers and body boarder only (no swimmers). The beach to the south of the pier is for swimming and body boarding, but not surfing.
Great place to visit the beach. Although parking is $5, it is plentiful, there is a large, covered picnic area, a small playground, restrooms, and showers to clean the sand off before heading home.
Good for locals even during the summer vb residents only pay $3 to park...
The water was so amazingly warm here! So much fun!

Beautiful, quiet, secluded. All around GREAT beach! We <3 ed it!
Nice and quiet base. Very clean beach, NEX, Subway, Panda Express, Package Store, Navy Federal.. Uber is allowed in base, as well as tons of food delivery services.

Great place to avoid the crush of people at the Boardwalk. Usually plenty of parking in the lot, too.
Good locals' beach! No crowd and no traffic.

Leave the car above 10th street and west of Arctic Ave; ride a bike or take the HRT trolley bus to the event site. You'll be glad you did.
