Completed in 2003, the arena is home to the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. Since 2005 the arena has been host to "February Frenzy", a state high school mega event featuring different high school sports.
The main entrance (Gate 4) is located on the North side of the arena facing Westgate. The arena is surrounded by restaurants and bars to accommodate any type of fan, from sushi to BBQ to an Irish pub.
