- For the price of this hotel, you really can't beat it in the area, particularly the Lake view rooms. I've had to stay here 4 times in the last 6 weeks, enjoyed consistent great beds & staff service.
There is a nice path that goes all the way around the lake (Lake Kittamaqundi). The section on the north side turns into a small trail but does loop back. Best to go counter clockwise around.
Richard RaeJune 18, 2015Stay in a Club Level room. Free amenities including a private lounge on floor 8 with free sodas, excellent free breakfast, and evening food. Excellent accommodations with terrific access.- The best place to stay at for Merriweather post Pavillon!! 👍 AND if u have a well behave dog (they don't want u to leave your dog alone in the room) there's no pet fee! 👍🐶
Renee StaggAugust 10, 2014You MUST have a room facing the lake..above the 3rd floor to appreciate the view! Excellent night and morning service!- The Lake view rooms face east. In the corner room upgrades in particular, you can see the sunrise from bed. (Pic not taken at sunrise, but gives you some idea.)
- Try the free wifi first, but there's also $10 a night premium wifi. I frankly couldn't tell the difference last time I was here because the free one is great.
- For better (FREE) wifi in your room, pick a room facing the lake. I was able to edit and upload an HD video in a pinch. There's also premium wifi for $10 a night.
Always a great stay here. Very clean and neat. We stay here and walk to MERRIWEATHER for concerts it's the perfect situation- If you have any issue, if you tell the front desk, they are amazingly responsive! Try to get a lake view room if you can.

The only thing I didn't like was that there was no mini-fridge or microwave in the room.- Daytime cleaning lady is a sweet woman. Last time I was here, she wouldn't take the tip for the Spectacular job she did cleaning the room. Then today she found my credit card & brought it to me.

Chez StockMay 18, 2012the lake is great but the dingy rooms, silly layout of the hotel, crap internet and squeaky beds ruin it.
Good location, crappy Internet, crappy beds, free coffee in the am and cookies in the pm.
Sushi Sono is one of the best restaurants in Greater Baltimore. Go left out of hotel and follow sidewalk to lake.
The Internet is $12.95/day in the room. It is supposedly free in lobby, but I never got it to work. The computers in the lobby are wired up, but the only have an out of date Explorer as the browser.
Crap. Linda the dear bartender is leaving tonight after 14 years!
