Definitely check this one out if you're in Atlanta! It's fun, family friendly, you can get a train ride and it offers spectacular views over the city. Oh, and stick around for the lasershow after dark

The hike up the mountain is somewhat strenuous in places but still a quick hike. It took us 37 minutes with a few rests in between to take in the surrounding views. Take the skylift!

A Beautiful, Natural wonder! Park in the grass on the side of the Inn to avoid the parking lot traffic after the laser show. Grab a great dinner at the Golf Club.

Whether you hike or take the cable car, get the best views of Atlanta from the top of Stone Mountain. Look southwest for grand views of Atlanta and north to where the Blue Ridge Mountain range begins.

Buy the annual pass. Hike up the mtn. It is windy on top so wear appropriate clothes. Do NOT try to hike when it's raining/sprinkling. It gets SOO slippery. Bike riding is also fun and challenging.

Take the skyride and enjoy the views from the top of the mountain or take the train ride. The laser show in the evening attracts large crowds. The flame cannons add more sizzle to the show.

Great place to take kids and teens. With lots of attractions, this Park is fun, historic, and family friendly. But be cautious when visiting during holidays or on the weekends due to big crowds.

The best part of the park is walking up the mountain. And the gum tree, of course! (Even though we all know that it's just a telephone pole with a lot of gum stuck to it.)
