Wa serves quality nigiri (Kobe beef, uni with white truffle oil) and less traditional dishes (eggplant baked with sea bass and sweet miso). Do yourself a favor and order the off-menu lollipop salmon.

Non-descript, no frills sushi spot in a two level strip mall with a chef who worked under Matsuhisa. Good quality, reasonably priced and worth checking if you're not checking for a scene.

Truly a foodie's dream. It's small, untrendy, and the dingy menus need a serious redesign, but the dishes here are bold, gorgeous, and knock-your-socks off good. A real gem of a place.

Get yourself some salmon sushi, but ask for it with sea salt and lemon. You'll never want it without the salt again.
