The restaurant area upstairs is twice the size of the main bar and usually half empty. The staff are happy for groups of people to go up there even if they're just drinking.Upvoted 3 weeks ago

You can take drinks out of the pub and across the road to get a great view of the river.

The peppered battered mushrooms are a brilliant "bar snack"! Far better than the onion rings, get these instead.
