The current school is a merger of both Chao Yang & Jervois Schools, during the move into the facility @ Ang Mo Kio Ave 9. Prior to that, Clementi & Chao Yang Schools merged in 1986. Source: website

Did u know? For the 1st SG Special Olympics, a torch run began at Chaoyang School, thro Scotts Rd, Whitley Rd, to Bukit Timah & ended at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Source: website
