Nice place, ferry, well kept park, nice view of river Thames :)- HISTORY UKFebruary 15, 2011Site of a famous horse-racing track was used from 1890 to 1962, when it was sold for residential development. The royal box and grandstand were burnt down by suffragettes in 1913.
