The de facto mayor of these steps is a white haired man w/ a hat & cane who speaks only Spanish, is unfailingly polite, & sits early in the AM reimagining today's streets as those of his childhood.- Sometimes it's high near impossible to keep from tripping over all the babies, children & lounging adults clogging up the steps.
