- Megabus employees are super helpful & nice. If you miss your bus, you can pay a nominal fee and get on the next one. Reserve early to get a great price. The wifi is unreliable. Wish they would fix.Upvoted Mar 21
- Róisín DubhFebruary 28, 2013Seriously, people: QUITCHERBITCHIN. Way cheaper and more comfortable than Greyhound, Megabus is one of the best deals you can find in this city. So what if it's not perfect?
- Inara CDecember 31, 2013Line is usually long. Be sure to ask to you're on the right line and ask what time bus ppl are taking. the walk isn't bad but u do have to wait outside so be prepared. Get there early for seats.Upvoted 2 days ago
- AngelaAugust 21, 2013Make sure to dress for the elements as the stop is not covered; grab food unless you have cash and want to utilize the vendors; and pee ahead of time unless you're fine with exposing yourself to peeps
- L. T.March 31, 2018You’re really subject to whatever nature throws at you at this station. No shade/cover, no seats, nothing. Wind, rain, blazing sun - and of course your bus is often late.
- The food trucks here don't display prices for a reason. $8 falafel pita. $7 smoothie-that-is-not-a-smoothie. You might want to ask before you buy.
- LavyAugust 30, 2013Spend a few bucks and take a cab here, you might think it's walkable but usually it's not.
- Aimee GoudasMarch 29, 2015Well, my bus was 2 hours late, on a freezing rainy day. This is on the street. Get there early, line up. Have snacks in case of delays, or there are street carts. But it would be nice to have shelter.
- DC bound: Washington deluxe is better. Or even greyhound with the new pay 20 to also get the seat next to you option. If you're a baller go with The Jet bus.
- I've always had comfortable and reliable service on the Albany <---> NYC route. Sometimes a little early, sometimes a little late. Always convenient.
- Chris DiorioDecember 31, 2012Best option for NYC to Albany. Cheap and easy. No problems with late busses (even got to my destination early). Will recommend again!
- Walei SabryJanuary 26, 2014The waiting area is a big open space so prepare to freeze while waiting for you're bus in the winter time… or sweat in those hot days in the summer.
- Dina SmayevaSeptember 17, 2013Today we left to Boston on time, which happens on weekday service except starting or finishing at rush hour. But what, guys,do you really want to get just for several $?! Have lot of money-buy helicopter
- Durrell L.October 16, 2012New location(s)!!! For drop offs: 28th street and 7th ave...for pick ups: 34th street in between 11th and 12th aves. Don't get confused! :) also, check out the beautiful skyline and buildings.
- Ali FloydMay 23, 2011I am definitely impressed with the new labels for each line, so you know which group of people is going to which city. I used to hate having to ask at least three people for info.
- $5 cab ride from 34th and 7th. Well worth it if you're running late, handicapped, or hate walking like previous tip users
- Adrianne ZoretichAugust 22, 2012Super cheap when compared to other buses. Always been on time for me. Outlets to charge devices and wifi works great!
- Silli SmithApril 5, 2012Don't bother getting here extra early. It won't matter and you'll still get a seat. It's like Noah's ark on these buses. (Trust me I ride so much I should buy stock)
- Right by the water; wear/bring a hat so all the seagulls and other birds don't poop on your head. One, a gull, got me on my shoulder (coat sleeve).. Huge mess
- Erin McLaughlinOctober 6, 2014Most confusing and nerve racking way to travel from NY to Baltimore (or is it "Balt/DC"?) Be on your toes at all times! Long lines turn into games of "telephone". Employee to rider ratio = about 1-200
- Christina CataldoAugust 1, 2013Honestly although Megabus can be a pain I often get super low rates for travel so u pay for what u get ...... It gets me from a to b MEGA cheaply ... Me happy !!!
- Andrew OsborneAugust 17, 2012How long before megabus is kicked out of this location, just like the other ones.. If they move any farther west they'll be in New Jersey.
- As of 02/15/2012 - For Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, and Toronto use this stop. If your destination is not listed, use the 10th Ave. btwn 40th/41st Sts.
- PhillipeJune 11, 2013Step 1: Claim your seat. Step 2: Claim your outlet. Step 3: Claim your wifi. Step 4: Claim your legroom.
- Go during the day time and it will be way less chaotic. As always, you can charge your phone or ipod on the bus!
- Not sure why the buses are all consistently late. Thought this new location would be a better logistical spot than the former one at Port Authority...but the buses to Philly are still late as ever.
- Bobby NooromidMay 10, 2013If you've never taken a moving trampoline for over four straight hours and $30 or less, congratulations, because you've come to the right place. How this bus's wheels haven't fallen off yet is nuts.
- MatthewAugust 22, 2012come early to avoid standing next to the food vendor at the end of the line...he will make you smell like BBQ.
- Григорий ТанхилевскийJanuary 17, 2014Depart time 8.30AM arrive to Phily at 11.05. So it's only 2h35m for fanny $5.00. Plus WC, free vi-fi and personal 110v plug!
- Be prepared for late buses, non working outlets, spotty WiFi service, and tired drivers that need relief part way through your trip. Service is rapidly declining as they focus on expansion.
- Vincent TDecember 19, 2012Weekdays usually have cheap fares and buses arrive on time (at least in my experience). Weekends/holidays usually a nightmare.
- Anton JurlanoJuly 19, 2013Great from dc. Horrible from ny. Combined 240 and 3pm riders on one and threw remainder myself included on a nonmegabus without outlets or wifi. Not what I paid for... shouldve used bolt
- Brianne GalliNovember 2, 2012This location is way better than the previous one at 9th and 31st. Much less pedestrian traffic, and more organized than before.
- Mollena WilliamsSeptember 13, 2013If you're feeling peckish, hit up the food carts on your way to the line because this stop is pretty much at 12th Avenue.
- Christopher A. PetersMarch 24, 2011Definitely go to 33rd and 9th. Everything is organized - you will know what line is for what bus as everything is labelled.
- This bus stop is outside, so dress appropriately. There are no benches -- either stand, or sit on the sidewalk. McDonald's about a block away if you need food or restroom while waiting.
- Blase SylvesterJuly 24, 2013Keep an umbrella in your bag just in case . There is no place to shelter from rain or hot sun. No seats either.
- Morghen JohnsonJune 26, 2013Probably the shittiest bus service in existence already and getting worse by the day. Super out of pocket with outrageous fares on weekends. $72 one way to get from DC to NY!? Let's be real Megabus.
- Elle JamesJune 9, 2013Make sure you have cash for vendors, they're the only options for food or drink by the stop.
- Renée C.September 21, 2013If you're from out of town coming from Penn Station (and someone didn't already point out exactly where it is...) you're better off catching a taxi for a few bucks from Penn Station
- Just remember more often times than not the bus your taking is probably late. Remember to block out that time accordingly, waiting on the sidewalk and pray that it doesn't rain.
- Aaron SeligAugust 16, 2012Always late, longest lines. Add an extra 40 minutes to an hour for rides between 4:30 p.m to 6 p.m in addition to boarding the bus a half hour late.
- Simona OzomováOctober 7, 2016It's quite far from the underground when carrying your luggage and has no amenities, just a megabus sign on the sidewalk.
- Paulette OsborneFebruary 21, 2013You can take the M34 bus across 34th St. for all the people complaining about the walk.
- Charlotte LJanuary 3, 2017It's always raining torrentially with no shelter. Hope your clothes and bags are waterproof...
- Carrie BrownFebruary 18, 2013Okay maybe it's because I was heading to Syracuse & no one goes there BUT bus wasn't late, easy to find in a cab, & quick boarding. Overall a lovely experience to & from.
- Habitually late. Always low prices. Wifi, outlets and semi comfy chairs.
