- Yaseen RoccaAugust 30, 2014Family-owned vibe. If you are patient when it's busy, 56 St James is a one-of-its-kind café, especially in this area. There's nothing remotely similar or better here! Superb coffee & lovely food.
- What a nice little cafe. Delicious fresh hot food, cakes and coffee. There's even a 'secret jungle'. Here's hoping lots more places like this come to E17.
- Marie BaekerApril 7, 2015Perfect little spot if you can't be bothered to work from home. The staff's friendly, the coffee great and the living room feel attracts like-minded folks that are fun to chat to.
- Jess ParkerJune 17, 2016Really enjoyed the veggie breakfast here. Friendly staff, good coffee (they have soy) and there's a small garden at the back.

- Amye KenallNovember 21, 2014Try the flat white and ham and cheese croissant. This is a cozy place, good for reading or chatting with someone.
- Mary-Jane Dadvand RossSeptember 26, 2018It very good. Strong espressos but not acidic. Friendly staff who give you tips on areas of London to see.
- J from outupfront.comFebruary 24, 2019Nice but frustrating. The staff are lovely but this place is a victim of its own success. Long wait for food - so long that people were cancelling orders. Not worth it.
