Kristina DevegaAugust 10, 2014This resort is beautiful, expensive but everything from the rooms to the views were amazing. The feel is casual and the guests range from families to couples. We're making this an annual trip.
Tonya BabichFebruary 18, 2016Had the greatest time there! The scenery is unbelievable, staff is great, very polite and helpful. We stayed there for Valentine's Day and they definitely made it very special for us.

There's not that many resorts in Vieques... One thing loved about this place was that it was quiet and serene...great place to unwind!!!!
Gorgeous hotel! The decor/design manages to be modern/warm/authentic all at the same time. Some of the staff are a bit indifferent, but overall we really enjoyed our stay.- Hot Caribbean DealsJanuary 3, 2012Get your seat at the fire pit(it fills up fast). At 6 pm the bartender creates a new cocktail for everyone to try complimentary from 6 to 6:30 pm – a great spot to listen to the waves crash.

Not near to towns so you are a bit stuck, recommend a rental jeep if you stay here.

A swim under the stars with the sounds of the waves crashing - very unique experience!
Find the W Cafe. The food is light and VERY reasonably priced for breakfast and lunch! Take advantage of complimentary perks and you will NOT be bored- yoga, snorkeling, swimming, tennis, books, SIP.
AT&T subscribers get fast LTE on most of the grounds and the Wi-Fi is free and fast too (and only makes you reconnect once every 7 days).

There are Kayak's for free. Get the life jackets and paddles at the Black Beard Sports. Go to the left passed 3 small beaches. 1 of them is totally desolated. Perfect for romance ;)
Jonathan Heath (the GM) runs one of the best operations I've seen yet. If you are looking for a relaxing and attentive trip, this is the place. Beautiful scenery, great staff, all in all a win.
While the property is amazing they are still working some kinks. Hear they have been having trouble hiring good - W worth it - talent and it shows! Hope things get better as it has a LOT of potential.

The island restaurants are so much better.- Jonathan Heath (the GM) runs one of the best operations I've seen yet. paul savageJune 8, 2013Local taxis are great & cheap. $10 round trip per person to Esperanza. Skip the $85/ day for a car rental.- If you have the means, the rental jeep from maritza's and enough pull with management, ask to have Ricky take you off roading. Follow that up with a picnic on the beach of your choosing.
Lucas GuterresMarch 9, 2014Despite all the beauty and luxury, you pay a daily resort fee of $60 (!) and you get the WORST internet conection in the entire world.
Make sure you visit the Pool made out of Volcanic Rocks! Do it late at night and watch the majestic starry sky.
- Have them call Jorge to drive you around the island! Why pay $40 to rent a jeep when riding with him for $5 each is entertainment in itself? Met locals and other guests alike!
If you're dining in Mix on the Beach have the Gambas Mofingo and the cheesecake. Utterly wonderful!

Condé Nast TravelerApril 12, 2011There are two lovely beaches: one “adults only” (read: topless) and another just below the restaurant and the bi-level pools.- At the small pool you can turn off the spotlights and have a beautiful LED lit pool floor that is never used. Light switches are near the pump and bathrooms on the right of the gate. Swimsuit optional
- The Ceviche here is AMAZING! Probably the best ceviche I've had outside Peru.

Definitely rent a car (reserve ahead), otherwise you're pretty stuck at the resort
