Amsterdam’s hip and green crowd scour the market stalls at the city’s many busy markets, including Albert Cuypmarkt. The daily Waterlooplein & twice-weekly Noordermarkt have lots of secondhand stalls. Read more

When visiting Amsterdam, see some of the many marketplaces. Flowers, cheese, herbs, fresh groceries – there seems to be one market for each item. 11 market places are open all year long. Enjoy!

Great market for a leisurely stroll. They sell everything from fresh fish to clothes. If you come around noon, there are many food stalls from which you can buy food. Or get some typical Dutch sweets.

Has become a bit touristy but I still take guests here for their first fresh stroopwafel and poffertjes! The mediterranean stand also has some of the most amazing hummus I have ever tried!

A blocks-long street market, open Monday - Saturday, filled with Dutch food stalls selling cheese, herring, and more. Hit the "Popa Oliva" stand for Mediterranean salads galore.

Stroop waffles made fresh with chocolate sauce, kibbeling fish / mussela sandwich. Good deal from the shops, though some stall owners need to warm up to customers a bit. Very cold.

Lively area with lots of choice in bars, coffe shops and restaurants. Cheap prices generally for the Netherlands. Good for fresh flowers, fish, cheap clothing (dearer than Primark!)

t is just like Turkish bazaars/outdoor markets but much cleaner and organized. You can find fruits, bicycles, cheese, fabric, furniture, records, waffles, patat, souvenir..etc for fair prices.

Terrashangen! Loads of spices and produce, but the best thing around here are the cafes in the Eerste van de Helststraat. If you've got time to spare, check the shops in the Gerard Doustraat.
