Barbette is simply good food in a casual, eclectic, come in and make yourself comfortable atmosphere. We call many local farmers our friends and in addition to a wine list that will put you over the moon, we offer many gluten-free and vegetarian items.
French Bistro fair, small menu in american standards, authentic. People like the frites here (small cut twice fried I believe), you can order them as a side and skip the steak.
Bistro. Good atmosphere. Authentic feel
The bellini's are great here!
Great happy hour. $4 bubbles & $5 pommes frites are The Way.
Late brunch until 5pm Saturday and Sunday for you rock stars out there.
Fries; simple wine selection.
The green curry/coconut mussels are to die for. Pair with the herbed Brie + bread for one of the best meals in Minneapolis.
Great food and excellent service.
The frites are great, but heh, who doesn't like fried potatoes.
Best restaurant I've been to. Amazing brunch, great bloodys. Incredible omelette
Great food and atmosphere
This is a great brunch spot! Excellent coffee! It's rich and bold! The truffled eggs are decadent!
Hit the late-night happy hour and make a meal out of mussels and pommes frites.
The croissants are 'old world' great. For breakfast, have the ham and gruyere (with caramelized onions)!
Good food, not great food. Overpriced for what you get. Service is good. Can't go wrong with happy hour pomme frites.
The waffle is to die for! Heaven on a plate!6
The frites, the fries...eat the fries.
It may not scream "Bring your kids here!" yet many do - daily quiche and bakery specials are always full of seasonal ingredients and baked with loving care. Eggs Benedict is the must try.
The ham is Easter quality.
Best Place to Drink Champagne 2012: Barbette’s list is well curated and thoughtfully priced, and the surroundings give you a comfortable place to indulge. http://bit.ly/UPhzyv
Voted top ten late-night restaurants! Fries at any hour are welcome, especially when they are served addictively crispy, perfectly salted and served with Barbette's creamy aioli.
Voted top 10 French Fries! Not only are the fries at Café Barbette tasty, they're pretty, too.
Excellent evening spent here. Great wine list, moule fritte, lime basil creme brûlée...
Chicken Hash is an outstanding, and healthy meal that will leave you wondering how it could be soooo good.
The Prix FIXE menu right now is amazing! Best scallops I've ever had.
The chilled pineapple soup is Amazeballs on a summer eve
we love Barbette!
It's hard to go wrong here, but the fries will remain a personal favorite, and their Bastille Day is a good time in the summer.
Get the Buckwheat crepe with scrambled eggs, herbs and Brie. It's perfect every time.
Happy hour at 10
Quiche of the day is always special, always delish!
Breakfast here is incredible!!
My go-to brunch spot. Best French toast in town!
Happy Hour on a budget: Champagne & Pommes Frites.
Go for breakfast- they serve 8-2 during the week! Brie + herb omelette=Mmm.
I'm partial to the champagne and fruit and cheese plate.
Best Wine List is always a tough category.
Not sure if it's an everyday thing, but we just had a 2 appetizer + bottle of wine happy hour special for $20! Wonderful :)
Best old-fashioneds. Get the late-night $5 mussels and/or pommes frites!
Must try the pommes frites and the bourbon old fashioned.
The tasting of seasonal vegetables is outstanding. And the Nicoise Salad is also fantastic.
The beet salad was super delish. Also one of the cutest sidewalk patios in town.
Yo barbette this is that time I order your poorly washed under cooked mussels. Third times a charm I guess
Voted Best Restaurant for Romance by City Pages in 2011! Try the mussels and french fries, they are especially good
Great quiche with the flakiest crust.
Barbette reduces it's carbon footprint by using re-usable to go containers, composting food waste, switching to energystar lightbulbs, using local, seasonal produce, and buying local
Try the Whipped Truffle Brie. Just when you thought you couldn’t look at another brie, this whipped version lures you with an earthy touch of black truffles, elevating the cheese to a new form.
