Pepsi MAXNovember 13, 2011Trivia: The first goal ever scored here was shot by Dwayne De Rosario for Canada against Panama in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup!- Avoid BBQ stand in northeast corner, that must be where they train the newbies, usually quite slow.
- Among the dignitaries in attendance at Sporting Park’s inaugural match on June 9, 2011 was honorary team member Chad Ochocinco.
- Golazo! Sporting Kansas City strikers Teal Bunbury and Kei Kamara tied for the team lead with nine goals in 2011.
- Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen was the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2012 with 15 shutouts and 18 wins.
