There's lots of black sand here, just when you get into the water, so it's even better when it's "low" sea (don't know the right word, hope you understand, sorry)

Don't miss this museum. On the upper floor there are lots of embalmed sea animals (birds and mammipheres). On the first floor there's a quite small aquarium that deserves to be visit anyhow.
A great place to have a coffe and relax.. Just avoid days like sunday if your not into families and kids hanging in the park, doga barking everywhere and a little bit of caos ;)
Try the Tea House on the right wing of the square. There's always good and fresh scones and a wide variety of teas and infusions.

Visit the Rose Garden! "The Roseiral da Quinta do Arco is one of the largest collections of roses in Portugal. There are more than 17,000 plants", according to the World Federation of Rose Societies.
Only for the architecture of the building it would already deserve the visit. Exhibitions include one of the finest Art Déco collections in Europe, from the Berardo's Collection.
They are supposed to have WiFi here, but it hasn't been working for a while. The bar at the other end of the beach - Manel - does have working WiFi, so go there instead.
Stressed? Seat and watch in silence, forget the world outside. Oh, and buy a small stress ball to squeeze before you leave.
