Easily one of the best airports to fly in and out of. Easy check in, easy security, easy to find your gate, and so on. Relax and grab a beer at the beer garden!
Best Small Airport - and best place to live (HSV). Not a lot of options in the airport for food or snacks, but you’ll breeze thru check in and TSA!
They finally have Uber in HSV (no Lyft as of this post), but they don't offer pickup @ airport. No problem! Just take free hotel shuttles (tip the hotel shuttle driver!). Uber picks up from any hotel.
Super easy to breeze through security. Only one bar past security- tip Marvis well. Pro tip- hit up the hotel bar just before security but be warned service there is at a leisure pace- Charlie-MikeJanuary 17, 2017Can't be any easier. Place is tiny compared to OIA. But everyone is kind and even the TSA. Easy to get around as well as find information.

Really fast airport. Baggage Claim, rental car, security, all very quick. 30 minutes runway to exit.

I've travelled all over the country, this is definitely the best mid-size airport in the country.
James PriceApril 29, 2012Limited pickup parking. Get there early for arrivals. There are six additional spaces in front of car rentals though.

When picking up/dropping off grab the first spot available. Extremely limited parking.
When heading for baggage claim, don't look at the giant tv monitors behind you. Usually Fox News! Bad for post-flight health & well being.

Don't bother getting here super early for your flight. One hour ahead is PLENTY of time.

- There a smoking area inside security behind the bar between gates 3 and 5
Don't forget carry ons come up from the elevator before exiting the breezeway.
Shirley HinoFebruary 26, 2016TSA here is ridiculous. Even if you are approved with TSA pre-check, they will ask you to removed you laptop and liquid from your carry-on.
While the say they want to bring business here, they often run out of rental cars, hotels don't have shuttles. Poor for business
Easy parking if you drive up a couple levels and take the elevator down.
If you want to fly out of Huntsville, this is where to come.
If you hunt long enough there are outlets available.
Easy rental check in and out. Very short security lines if any
