The TSA staff here is among the best anywhere. Everyone is very friendly and the security process is very pleasant. I love this airport!!!

Melissa GoodnightSeptember 26, 2019I'm not sure what international flights this one makes, because it's very small, but it's the most chill airport I've ever been to.
Tiny airport, so fast security lines. No need to be super early.
Don't wear shiny clothes like sweaters with sparkly silver thread. The machines pick it up as suspicious on the full body scan. Nice TSA pros.
If it is raining, forget about it. No parking garage and no parking lot shuttle. But you can get a bottle of Aquafina for 3 bucks
Leave ample time+ for morning flights. TSA line can get backed up.
Dilbert FairwellMay 5, 2013"Wearin' a belt today?" is a thing the really cool TSA guy asked me. You can respond with "Yes. I was feeling fancy" or "What?!?!?!" then run away shrieking in horror.
Very convenient! Never any issues traveling through this small airport.
Nice little airport. Friendly, fast security. Good car rentals. Fast luggage turn around.- Use web checkin the day before.. Never had an issue at ilm. Great staff, clean, and for now.. Free internet

You have to get on the Ferris Wheel! Its a must of the fair. And the orbiter is awesome!

Alligent Air has the cheapest flights to Orlando-Sanford. Don't check your bags and print your boarding pass online to go straight to security!

Flying to Charlotte on the 5:20am? Security does not open until 4:30am, so take your time getting to the airport.
Not to worry hungry traveler there is the same topsail grill after security checkpoint
TravisJune 8, 2010Google maps sometimes sends you to the private plane entrance on the wrong side of the airport so follow the road signs.- Coming here...do carry on. Baggage claim here takes FOREVER!!!!.
- FOR SOME REASON TSA THINK OF THEMSELVES AS THE 36 MAFIA. DON'T EVEN TRY GETTING PAST THEM.

Chris PAugust 13, 2012Avoid Delta at all costs. They purposely oversell flights and screw over their customers on a regular basis. This is a common practice with Delta.
