- Ananda DestefanoAugust 10, 2014The name says it all! You can't go wrong with the Pho Ga. Tender noodles and the chicken is never chewy, always perfectly done. Feeling rich, go for th Vietnamese crab. Can't go wrong with 58, yummy!
- Cindy TongJanuary 18, 2016The friendly owner acts as the host and waiters a majority of the tables. He also offers great suggestions. Go with a group and order the dungeoness crab and #10 (tomato and shrimp based noodle). Yum
- Get the #63,Chao Bac Thao, the pork and preserved egg porridge. It is the best. Great for hangovers in addition to satisfying hunger.
- For pho, I just go with the pho tai. Simple, solid, yummy. If price is no object and you want to mix it up, go with the garlic and butter crab. Just come hungry or bring a friend. You'll need 'em!
- Sherry LiNovember 6, 2015Worth the wait! Turnover is fast so it's not long. Fyi the curry chicken pho is really spicy and doesn't have coconut milk. The chicken wings with lemongrass sauce is really good!
- Danielle ComerSeptember 21, 2013There will always be a bit of a wait, but on those cool SF nights this place is worth it, and will warm you up. Five spice chicken is my favorite. Even better for leftovers.
- Erin MerchantOctober 18, 2014Hands down the best Pho Tai. Their Bun bo hue tastes exactly like it's off the street of Ho Chi Minh city. Eat, be fat and happy and fist bump the owner.
- Rachel RobertsNovember 1, 2014Got the chicken noodle soup pho and I added veggies for 2 bucks. It was so delicious. And the line moves quickly.
- Cindy TongJanuary 18, 2016Order the dungeoness crab and save the garlic/chive sauce for the number 10 (tomato and shrimp based noodle).
- Megan AllisonOctober 1, 2018Curry noodle soup and a Ca Phe Sua Da. The two older dudes who run this place are the coolest friendliest. Love it. 🍜🦀☕️
- Connie ChiuAugust 14, 2018Good pho! Love the beef broth and noodles. Takes a while to get the food for a pho place but so worth it.
- Stephanie WeiSeptember 1, 2016Portions are really big! We could have just split a #1 (xl pho) amongst the two of us. The pho is good but the broth seems pretty generic.
- Amber YuDecember 28, 2014Best pho tai in SF. You can ask for a small bowl of soup if you get a rice plate. Broken rice (com tam) is only served weekends.
- GSeptember 19, 2014Everything looks good and smells good too..we try their#8 pho, it's creamy and really good. It's a great place for family style dinner.
- Great dishes for family style/group dining: sauteed crab with salt and pepper; mixed grilled meats with lettuce and rice paper wraps; catfish hot and sour soup. Great food, affordable, welcoming team.
- Jennifer SuhMay 28, 2017If you're getting apps (you should: fish sauce wings), I recommend splitting one phô with your dining partner.
- Kanji IshiwaraDecember 20, 2014Had the bun ca ri ga, which was delicious. Plum soda was refreshing. Attentive service. Would def come back!
- Pho Tai baby. For extra points add half of spoon of minced garlic.
- If you want something different, get #8 with rice noodles! Slightly peanut-y and very tasty
- Hinh TranJuly 17, 2016Pho and bun bo hue are good! Banh xeo wasn't super crispy but banh cuom and banh uot were good!
- I resisted the temptation to get the Pho Tai and got the Bún bò Huế instead. No regrets! Sweet, spicy, and sour all at the same time.
- Chip MorelandMay 20, 2015The chicken wings with fish sauce and lemon grass are better than the wings next door
- Runqiu CaiJune 12, 2015HUGE bowl of pho. However, the broth tasted like regular pork broth and tasted more Chinese than vietnamese. No lemongrass or vietnamese spices.
- Taylor SmithDecember 6, 2010Awesome fried potsticker appetizers! They look like sui mei with deep fried crispy rice on the outside. Excellent beef stew w/ rice.
- 5 spice chicken pho! Don't get the mixed fruit drink though... Tastes like grenadine and water.
- Alex DobyanDecember 17, 2017Had a shrimp and tomato soup that was just alright. Great size portions though
- Larissa PakJune 4, 2015A crab is 45usd per piece. The one with butter and garlic was nothing special, garlic was burnt, no juice.
