I love the banana Nutella Grand Marnier crepe from the vendor on the street, but bring napkins :)
Go to the roof at night and watch the light show at the eiffel tower, if you're into that sort of thing.
If you are spending 1 day in mmt, you should: get a baguette at coquelicot (place des abbesses), have lunch at pomodoro (la vieuville), have an ice-cream at amorino and a drink at sancerre (abbesses)
sit at the stairs and enjoy the great view of Paris. Drinking a beer for EUR 2 (they sell beers there) and listen to the music of many different artists around the world for free!Great in the evening.
Don't be afraid of the line, it moves quickly. Highly recommend going up in the bell towers to see the gargoyles and for one of Paris' best views.
view from the top of the museum is one of my favorite! there is also a nice restaurant there. if you enjoy modern art and architecture (you do, right?), then you'll love this place.

This is where the Parisians go on a beautiful day. Bring a picknick and have it on one of the lawns with students from Sorbonne and other locals.
This underground ossuary has tunnels and crypts that are both eerie and interesting. The tour takes about 45mins-1 hr. Ages under 14 not allowed w/o companion. €8 adults, €4 ages 14-26, €6 ages 60 up.
Probably the least kept monument in Paris. Hard to take pics up close. Still, a must for any American!
Largest and one of the most visited cemeteries in Paris, this is where you will find World War I memorials and the graves of famous personalities like writer Oscar Wilde and musician Jim Morrison.
Iconic place if you want to take a souvenir picture, but seeing the show is definitely something that true Parisian people would never do.
