From noon to 3pm, Kokum offers well-priced lunch options that are great for people like me who don't like buffet. DO arrive at least 15 min before 3pm. The kitchen seems to shut down promptly.

This place stands out in its menu. Stand out in your choices too. Go for the specialities. Egg appam, puttu kadala, muniyandi dosa stall, fish.. don't go for the usual tikka masala!

The parathas, pepper chicken, fish curry. It is great to see restaurants doing different regional Indian cuisines. For a taste of Kerala you can't go wrong with this place.

Tired of Sarvana Bhavan - try this place. Very good Kerala food! Dosa's are delicious. Get the chicken fry and fish fry for staters. Fish in plantain leaf is delicious!

Delicious! Try the spiced potato balls and shrimp w chile leaves for starters. The dosas are amazing, one is enough for two if w a couple starters and rice.

Best Kerala food in the city. Authentic and home-cooked flavor profiles, friendly staff, plenty of options for vegetarians. Highly recommended.

I wish there were more South Indian places in NYC. Kokum is good, if a bit expensive for what it was. Avoid the mughlai standards and get the idlis and fish curry.

Good masala dosa and idlies, but eggplant curry and fish in plantain leaves were the highlights. Vadai and spinach masiyal curry were kind of bland.
