1. Bar Robinet

8.5
Mariboes gate 7, Oslo, Oslo
Bar · Hammersborg · 8 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Oslo's smallest bar? Got to love it though. It gets crowded, but some people like that. Obviously not a lot of choices for beer, but they have Frydenlund and usually good music.

Cafe Laundromat is one of nye steder.

2. Cafe Laundromat

8.1
Underhaugsveien 2 (Pilestredet), Oslo, Oslo
Café · Homensbyen · 62 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: This is a fun cafe. Good selection of beer, I like the food and the formica interior with hints of diner. You might want to avoid the breastfeeding hours (you'll notice all the babystrollers ouside).

3. Cafe Lorry

6.7
Parkveien 12, Oslo, Oslo
Bar · Homensbyen · 51 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Another old gem. Lovely interior. Lot of upmarked people (as in celebs etc). Good selection of beer, amazing onion soup.

Cafe Nero is one of nye steder.

4. Cafe Nero

7.4
Thereses gate 47, Oslo, Oslo
Beer Bar · Bislett · 5 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: A few meters from Bislett Stadium, is this lovely little cafe. They have a really good selection of beers, some which you may not find elsewhere (in Oslo). Watch people walk by. Drink Belgian beers.

Colonel Mustard is one of nye steder.

5. Colonel Mustard

8.7
Darres gate 2 (Maridalsveien), Oslo, Oslo
Bar · Grünerløkka · 37 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Sort of a, modern rustique, kind of place. A fair amount of good beers to choose from, and from the looks, and smell, whopping big and tasty burgers. I will have to return and check it out.

Flyfisher is one of nye steder.

6. Flyfisher

7.1
Eugenies gate 1, Oslo, Oslo
Pub · Bislett · 4 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Very brown, very real.

7. Horgan's

5.7
Hegdehaugsveien 24, Oslo, Oslo
Sports Bar · Homensbyen · 9 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Horgan's (named, if memory serves me right, after an old fur boutique) was Oslo's first American Sports-bar, before TGI arrived. Pricey, but good burgers and fine people watching.

8. Katedralen pub & spiseri

Parkveien 13, Oslo, Oslo
Sports Bar · Homensbyen · 12 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Katedralen sports some good beer surprises, but seems content with the "older" beer customer, and they serve food. Chairs and interior is like an anglican church from a Hammer movie. Very cool

9. Kniven Bar

8.0
Møllergata 32, Oslo, Oslo
Bar · Hammersborg · 8 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Oslo recently lost two of its heavy metal bars, but I stumbled across this one the other night. A few bottled crafts and Brooklyn on tap, it's a bit expensive for this type of place.

10. Lille Andy's Pub

6.4
Frognerveien 12 B, Oslo, Oslo
Sports Bar · Uranienborg · 5 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: A hangout in Oslo's more expensive neighborhood. You won't think so on the inside. Very reasonable beer prices, customers are in their 40s and up and seem to be there all the time.

11. Mir

7.4
Toftes gate 69, Oslo, Oslo
Pub · Grünerløkka øst · 10 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: An odd place, in a backyardflat. Fun, young, with some strange decor. Still a few airplane seats left, and there are old comics to read. Quite cheap and good quiznights!

12. Mono

Pløens gate 4, Oslo, Oslo
Rock Club · Hammersborg · 21 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Good rocking place, good room, good fun.

Olympen is one of nye steder.

13. Olympen

8.0
Grønlandsleiret 15, Oslo, Oslo
Bar · Grønland · 49 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: A grand old place east in central Oslo. Was a run down dive, now it's a diamond surrounded by browncoal. Lovely interiour, great, I mean, great selection of beers from all over. Fine food as well.

14. Paddy's

6.4
Stortingsgata 28, Oslo, Oslo
Irish Pub · Sentrum · 7 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: I sometimes go here after a movie or just to get my Guinness fix.

The Pub is one of nye steder.

15. The Pub

7.1
majorstuveien 34 (Jacob Aalls Gate), Oslo, Oslo
Pub · Frogner · 10 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: I discovered The Pub in April, 2015. They have gone for the UK look, bartenders in white shirts and bowlerhats, very big screens for football, so not a hipster hangout. Fine selection of craft beers.

16. Pøbberiet

Trondheimsveien 139, Oslo, Oslo
Gastropub · Sinsen · 2 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: This part of Oslo needed a new place... Well, any place really, and now it has!

17. Queens Pub

5.5
Brugata 14, Oslo, Oslo
Sports Bar · Sentrum · 6 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Not a good selection of beer, smells a bit, dark and the toilets aren't very nice. But you end up enjoying it in good company. Quite cheap lager. Some good talent show up on open mic night.

18. Ryes

Sofienberggata 8 (Thorvald meyers gate), Oslo, Oslo
Bar · Grünerløkka øst · 28 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: Another dinertype place in Grünerløkka. 50's 60's styled. A very welcoming 3 beers for 100 at certain times, and a very good hangover burger on a Sunday, unpleasant bouncers at night I've been told.

19. Skaugum

7.2
Solligata 2, Oslo, Oslo
Night Club · Frogner · 10 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: This place isn't really "me", but I go here sometimes, because it lies in a neighborhood I rarely visit. Cramped, good looking and the backyard is sort of epic.

20. Trafalgar Pub

5.2
Hegdehaugsveien 32, Oslo, Oslo
Pub · Homensbyen · 9 tips and reviews

Morten A.Morten Aastad: English sports on tv, cheapish lager in an expensive erea. They have one or two Brewdogs, but if you are squeamish about the way the bartender violently pours your beer into the wrong glass, avoid!
