All dumplings, all the time. Can be a belly-filling one-trick pony, but they know what they're doing and they do it really well! Ask for sauces to round out the flavour excursion

Do not know what the people are complaiing about-for me B9 were the best dumplings I have ever tried. Loved the shabby place and the ladies makig dumings before our very eyes.

You get your fortune on the order sheet which also has citations for it being the best Chinese restaurant in Toronto. I was surprised by the alcohol selection: it was very western.

I9 gave a variety of sides (3). The tofu noodles had a different texture from usual & was cut with green pepper & tomato. The peanuts were too firm & there was seaweed too. All 3 were not good.

F2 Da Lu noodles (pork) was similar to Southern Chinese lor mee but with a thinner sauce. It had the same noodles even. The portion was huge & the soup was pretty tasty.

The dumplings here are so good it should be called Heaven's dumplings. The staff and cooks were so friendly - great great place.

It was ok. Nothing mind blowing. Lots of food for cheap. Good for students or late l dining after a night out on the town. Best Dim Sum in my opinion is at Cha Lau (formerly Cha Liu). #Amazing!

Authentic soup buns and pan fried dumplings! Love being able to watch them make the dumplings if you sit in the back of the restaurant.

A little over-hyped, but I'll tell you what I loved: the lamb shumai. VERY yummy. Also the dumpling soup (now $2, not $1).

You can see the chefs making the dumplings and that is very cool. As for the food it was so-so. The lamb shumai was surprising and neat, while the bbq pork buns were dry and low on flavor.

C1 pan fried dumplings with pork & bak choi was ok. Nothing to shout about, restaurant name notwithstanding. D5 potato pancake was decent: like rosti but denser.

Take frugality to the next level with a large bowl of Northern-style wonton soup for $3.50. And try the tomato-egg soup and zhajiang mian (Chinese spaghetti) for an undiluted hit of the old country.

Ok, I admit that I am rather picky about dumplings. The skin of dumplings is what matters! And at Mother's Dumplings, the skin is just not right! My expectations were high, thus my disappointment!

I had the beanpaste noodles and spring onion pancake and thought it was just mediocre. :/ Noodles were a little overcooked, pancakes were not flaky and crispy. Should've tried the dumplings instead.
