New airport terminal opened on October 26, 2022. Very modern; 4 gates with jet bridges — no more walking out onto the tarmac. A big improvement for Columbia/Jeff City!
Ask for a room on the 9th floor if you want the best view (it’s the top floor)… but beware that the elevator is very slow. Mix of modern and historic — one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
I walked by here hundreds of times but never looked up. My sister came to visit from out of town and this was on her “must see” list — worth the detour, you just have to look up!
The best queer bookstore in NYC is on the 2nd floor — (Bureau of General Services - Queer Division). Go up the main stairs, turn right, turn right again; the Bureau is the last door on your left.
Large park with benches, running track, and outdoor gym behind the York St F. Finally a park in DUMBO that feels like it’s for locals.
