When flying into SAN, try to sit on the left side of the aircraft. Great view of the Bay and Downtown.

San Diego is nice but every attraction has a upgrade package and the credit card gets over worked. Watch out for the Avis rental car sharks.

Most expensive parking fee ever. First day is prorated hourly; whilst after the second day, parking is charged per day regardless of time spent after the 24 hour period.

Do Starbucks before security if at SWA terminal if leaving at 6 am. Coffee & food choices post-security is scarce.

Good news: it's small and easily accessible. Bad news: it's small and has limited facilities. Be sure to eat before you go through security if you want hot food.

Security will close for one of the two gate entrances pretty early on a week night. Ask an attendant / guard before schlepping your stuff!
