Food was good and they did a great job of accommodating our large group, all of whom had bags (we were on our way to the airport) which they stored for us. Great experience all around.

The best service ever. My husband was not thrilled with the waitress's recommendation and she brought him his second choice entree! Fried Green tomatoes were awesome as well as the shrimp n grits!

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu in this piece! Chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and the crab cakes -- it's all good! The speciality drinks are the bomb as well! Nice spot!

By far the best chicken and waffles in the city. The chicken is perfectly fried and seasoned and the waffle is heavenly. They can both stand on their own, but together...pure food magic.

Ok, so chicken and waffles are not southern (seriously, look it up!), but that doesn’t mean we haven’t welcomed it into the fold and perfected it! After all, fried chicken is a southern staple. Read more

Fun fact: I once sat and ate with a famous Chicago Bulls player here and didn't even realize what a big shot he is until I left. We both got the buttermilk fried chicken!

This isn't just a fried chicken joint - it's Southern food done proper. The staff has an intimate knowledge of gluten free preparation and offers a separate menu of rotating selections. Yum!

Fantastic experience tonight - every dish and drink delicious, gracious, not too cloying service. I rec the smoked pork chopped, fried chicken, trout, pineapple upside down cake.

Food was mediocre at best. Had shrimp and grits. It was OK. But at $40 per plate, I expect my food to be significantly more than OK. Apple cobbler was little more than apple pie filling in a bowl.

The pan roasted duck breast with red quinoa, Tuscan kale, and blood orange jus was amazing. If you have never tried duck, try this!

Areas of the restaurant are a little dark if you are one of those people who prefer to see what you are eating, but don't worry, they provide pen lights!

For brunch, we love the cheddar scrambled eggs, stone-ground grits, and applewood smoked bacon and for dinner, the buttermilk fried chicken is where it's at.

Shrimp and grits were really good. Would recommend brunch here and taking a 1st or 2nd look at the drink menu. Really great drinks to pair with your meal.

The trending taste this week is the classic Southern favorite, fried green tomatoes. What better way to experience this taste than with some goat cheese at one of your favorites, South City Kitchen.

The fried chicken was great, but the star was the light as air, but not like whipped cream Banana Pudding and the peachy Back Porch whiskey concoction. Loved it!
