My mom stays here on her visits and always has an amazing experience. The pool closes so early it's not even worth it- they prioritize private events a little too much IMO. Still our fave though!

The pool on the roof of the James Hotel in Soho may be small, but it is on the roof and, more importantly, it's open to the public on the summer weekends, as is the rooftop bar. Read more

Look, the place is stunning, artsy, and central. The staff is accommodating but the guests are NOT the priority, the special events are. If you came for the pool, get this: it shuts down after 2pm.

Quite a unique boutique hotel, creative, artistic and modern. Nice garden and pool, great bars (Jimmy and Treehouse), amazing restaurant (David Burke's The Kitchen). Yet small rooms, non-noise proof

Love this hotel. We stayed in room 803 which is a corner king room on the 8th floor facing south with amazing views of One World Trade Center.

The rooftop pool is more of a water feature, than a utility. 200 people on the rooftop during a 85 degree sunny July afternoon; 0 people in the pool. Why bother? Plank it over and add seating.

Nice and helpful staff, great location. Better not get a room on the top level because the rooftop bar above makes a lot of noise.

Forget the fact that this place was on Conde Naste Traveller magazine's 2011 hotel list – it’s ALL about the bar here. The rooftop bar, Jimmy’s, gives you 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline

The corner rooms are definitly the pick, with floor to ceiling windows and great cityscape views towards Tribeca.

Great hotel, funky roof bar, happy staff. Building was designed as Condos so not enough lifts, check your bill for random $200 charges from Jimmy's roof bar

David Burke Kitchen has one of the best Mac&Cheeses in Manhattan. They charge extra 5 bucks for the room svc. (except for service charge) The location is ok but I may not come here again.
