If it involves anything red velvet (cake, cheesecake, cupcake) it will be delicious. They use a wonderful cream cheese frosting rather than buttercream. Perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness
My fave Astoria bakery. Better service to go than sit down. Unless you sit near the cakes :-) I love the cupcakes especially hazelnut, choco on choco & red velvet. Enjoy!
Very pricey but so delicious. The salted caramel walnut cheesecake bar was delicious, both in taste and texture and presentation. The stratecella gelato was heavenly, authentic and simply yummy.
Go to Vesta. Order the Baby Jesus cake -- super sweet and moist, with unsweetened whipped cream to calm your taste buds. Die happy. Really, it gets no better than this.

Rude un cooperative owner. With having a meeting with them and all for custom cake they failed in delivering what we asked for. They would not fix it or offer a discount. Really horrible. avoid.
Skip the ricotta cheesecake; the texture is not right, and the tartness you hope for just isn't there. Get an assorted box of their excellent cookies instead. 🍪
Laguli's the perfect Astoria Italian patisserie for traditional cookies, cannolis, napoleons, lobster claws, cakes & spumoni. Excellant quality but Ownership has sour faces & attitudes for decades.
Talal and his brother make simply f'in delicious sweets (that aren't too sweet)! Baklava with custard, coconut milk cake, bird nest and pretty much everything is incredible. Get two of everything!
