The waiters aren't aggro; it's a cultural thing. Excellent, authentic Vietnamese food, and the best bahn mis in town. Cone for the sandwiches, go to sunflower across the way for imperial rolls.

The independently owned Austin Land & Cattle serves steaks that are succulent, tender, and cooked as-ordered, and you get three sides with your entrée. One downside: Parking can be a real bitch.

I usually get the lychee black tea or regular black tea. They also have good milk teas and slushies. For food, I like the veggie eggrolls, mushroom tofu with pork and rice, and potstickers.

It's never been easy to find a Vietnamese restaurant with original and authentic recipes of pho, spring roll, and much much more. Austin is lucky because Thanh Nhi has them all, plus: excellent price!

Sal's Calzone is excellent. So is the spicy marinara sauce, get it with your breadsticks.
